I arrive in Dallas on Tuesday, and I really am sorry that no one else from the show is coming to the rally. I have a whole new attitude toward the show- I realize that there is a lot of backstabbing and jealousy among some of the characters on the show. The lies that have been told about me just don't stand up.

I should have been in Dallas when John came down last time. The shenanigans that went on in Dallas made the people at Nationwide decide to pull the plug on the show six weeks early. In this scenario, the only ones who suffer are the Dallas fans. Howard is paid through Sept. 5, the Eagle gets to play rock music all day, and you fans have no show.

Throughout the past five years, I have learned whom I can and cannot trust. A lot of people have come and gone from the show, but because of you the fans , I have managed to stay around. This trip to Dallas, from Aug. 12 to Aug. 16 is dedicated to you the Dallas fans, many of whom I have already met in my previous trip to Dallas. You never had a book signing, you never experienced a funeral like New York, Philly, Cleveland, and LA did. You never got to say farewell to Howard.

Getting Howard back on the Eagle is a dead issue. They don't want him, and he has had it with Nationwide. The focus of my trip to Dallas is to meet with and mobilize as many of you as possible to help place the show at another station in Dallas. Unless you make some noise on the 15th, no one in Dallas or the rest of the country will know that you guys mean business.

Dallas is the "Rodney Dangerfield" of radio markets. Believe me, there will be a lot of local and national media at this rally, including other radio stations. It is possible that other DJ's will be there. I want all the Stern fans in the DFW area to come out and be counted. Friday August 15- 6 to 9 a.m.- in front of the Eagle studios in Irving.

I plan on going to the Cowboys-Ram game at Irving Stadium on Friday night. Maybe we can get a group of fans from the rally to go. Today I was informed that all of you who come to the rally are invited to a complimentary breakfast at the Gentleman's Club of Dallas, right after the rally ends at 9 a.m. Feel free to E-mail me anytime, as I will have my laptop with me on the trip.
